Live in CopenhagenMew , 2006, DVDFamiliarity: Some listens Importance: Recommended for fans only Great live video from what seems to have been hell of a concert. There are some interesting variations on some of the songs, not found on any of the albums. Jonas does not always replicate the falsetto vocals of the studeo albums, but, interestingly enough sometimes uses a baritone voice in stead, which sounds rather good. FrengersMew , 2003 Familiarity: Very many listens This was a great hit in their homeland, and that is really a feat, given that at the time, the Danish music industry was (and still is) very much marked by a flavor-of-the-month and stick-to-the-trends attitude. And the music on this album is nothing but quality rock blending complexities of progressive rock and the simplicities of Pixies-inspired punk rock. And The Glass Handed KitesMew , 2005 Familiarity: Very many listens Nice melodic melancholic modern alternative and progressive rock which is pompous and Pixies-like at the same time. Especially the drumming and the vocal melodic patterns are interesting. Half The World Is Watching MeMew , 2000 Contains a host of songs that are also found on Frengers. While the versions on Half The World is Watching Me certainly are interesting, and in some cases more arty, the Frengers versions are much stronger. In addition there are three uncharacteristically simple, but not bad, pop songs on this album. A Triumph For ManMew , 1997 Familiarity: Very many listens A nice minimalistically artsy album with some interesting catchy tunes on it. |
